AI role

The Challenge

Task lists grow faster than we can shrink them. Important things slip through the cracks while we're busy with the urgent.

At the end of the week, it's hard to remember what we actually accomplished, or why that nagging task has been following us around for days.

The Approach

Instead of adding more features, RECAP asks a simpler question: What's the one thing you should do next?

Tasks that don't get done don't disappear. They carry forward, gaining weight until you address them. The system notices patterns you might miss and gently surfaces what needs attention.

The Solution

A daily dashboard that shows your priority task with a clear reason why. AI-powered recaps that turn your scattered to-dos into a coherent story.

Analytics that reveal not just what you completed, but when, so you can see your productive rhythms and address your stuck points.

The Outcome

Less mental overhead. Fewer things falling through the cracks. A clear answer to "what should I work on right now?"

And at the end of each day, a satisfying sense of what you actually accomplished, not just what you intended to do.

What I Learned

Completion feels different than creation. Users don't just want to track tasks. They want to feel the momentum of progress. Showing when work gets done (not just when it was planned) changes how people perceive their own productivity.

Carried-over tasks tell a story. The things we avoid reveal what we're resisting. Surfacing that pattern, without judgment, helps people make conscious choices about what deserves their energy.

AI works best as a mirror, not a manager. The most useful AI features don't tell people what to do. They reflect back what's already happening in a clearer, more digestible way.
